SKI SAFARI OF THE FAMOUS FIVE IN THE CANADIAN ROCKIES
Powder snow and good times are the highlights of this ski safari in five different ski areas of the world renowned Canadian Rocky Mountains. A winter experience to rave about thanks to excellent skiing in Banff, Lake Louise, Golden and Revelstoke, as well as first rate accommodations and an alpine ski expert as your guide.
Day 1: CALGARY / BANFF – Arrival in Calgary, 90 minute drive via the Calgary – Banff ski bus to your hotel in the mountains of famous Banff National Park. Welcome drink and orientation meeting with the guide.
Banff Park Lodge***1/2, four nights.
Days 2, 3 & 4: BANFF – You have a choice of three ski areas with more than 250 runs: Sunshine with 14 sqkm (3300 acres) of ski slopes on three mountains, Lake Louise (world cup) where you find an abundance of long and gentle cruising runs for the intermediate skier while experts test their limits rushing endless chutes, glades, gullies, remote bowls and of course the world cup run. Finally at Mount Norquay you find a varied and rugged terrain sheltered by steep summits. For apr´s ski this established resort town invites with unique stores and boutiques, fine dining and family restaurants. Join the guide for a western night at Wild Bill's Saloon.
Ski Banff/Lake Louise
Day 5: GOLDEN / REVELSTOKE – After breakfast the one hour drive into the western ranges of the Rockies. The new ski area of Kicking Horse with 106 runs and more than 300cm (10 ft) annual snow enjoys ever increasing popularity. A special treat is the panorama view from the elegant Eagle Eye summit restaurant. Later this afternoon the 90 minute drive to Revelstoke.

Kicking Horse Ski Resort
Days 6, 7 & 8: REVELSTOKE – Here, in the "snow belt" of British Columbia with 7m (23 ft) snow cover at tree line and at least 9m (29 ft) in the high alpine powder is the word of the day. New and still expanding Revelstoke Mountain Ski Resort boasts the longest stretch of vertical lift-serviced terrain in North America at 1713m (1.03 mi), the longest run is 15 km (9 mi). If the views of the Monashee and Selkirk Mountains and the Columbia River aren't enough to amaze you there is optional heli- and cat ski endless terrain of naturally gladed slopes, alpine bowls and untracked powder. Or spend a day in this winter playground venturing into the backcountry via snowmobile.
Revelstoke Mountain Resort
Day 9: CALGARY - The four hour drive from Revelstoke back to Calgary leaves you with a last impression of the Canadian Rockies. It is easy to see why these vast landscapes of mountain peaks, glaciers, lakes and forests deserve to be designated as National Parks and UNESCO Heritage Sites. Nature's beauty that lines each side of the road is simply inspiring.
End of your safari at the Calgary International Airport early afternoon.
