It is larger than California or Japan and twice the size of the United Kingdom and a population of about 5 million. Northern British Columbia is a land of unlimited adventure that extends 1,000 km (621 mi) from east to west, following the legendary Yellowhead Highway. It is filled with jagged mountain peaks, roaring rivers, serene lakes, green valleys, rugged coast lines and ancient island archipelagos.
We already selected the most outstanding sights and destinations for our small group tours in northern BC and in the Yukon Territories. Our camping tour into northern Canada starts in Calgary with a week of some of the best hikes in the Rocky Mountains of Banff and Jasper, then a flight to Whitehorse and two weeks of adventures in the Yukon and Alaska. For the round trip with hotels we start in Vancouver and leisurely cross BC into for a few days of fun and sightseeing in the Rockies. Now we head northwest through the mountains of the BC interior all the way to the northern coast. The cruise with BC Ferries takes us to Vancouver Island and we finally end the round trip adventure tour back in Vancouver
