Tour Details
Day 1: Edmonton. Alberta, to Jasper National Park
Meet your new friends for these four days of adventure at a hotel in West Edmonton. Leave your car safely parked and board our private bus for the 4-hour drive into the mountains of Jasper National Park. Allowing for a quick lunch stop in Hinton the arrival in Jasper is at about 1:00 pm. On the campground in Jasper the guide helps you to set up your tent and you get settled into base for the next three nights. The campground is accessible by car, you only have to carry your gear a few steps.
Seeing Jasper townsite, surrounding mountains and valleys from a breathtaking perspective, fly up the Whistler Mountain on the Jasper Skytram (included with this camping trip) for a unique impression of the area, ready for you to explore over the next days. From 2263m you gaze at six mountain ranges, turquoise lakes, glacial fed rivers and the town far below. Grocery shopping in jasper, then back at camp prepare a satisfying meal together and settle around the campfire where the guide shares stories of the locals.

Day 2: Mountain biking and Maligne Lake
Biking is one of the favourite summer things to do in Jasper. This tour includes four hours of bike rental. Hit the trails on two wheels this morning and ride a choice of trails through the forest and along rivers and lakes.  Once your feet are off the bike pedals, your guide takes you up the Maligne Lake Road for an afternoon of epic views, natural history and a breath-taking hike. Begin with a short walk along Maligne Canyon, the river roaring through the narrow gorge, up to 50 m below you. Medicine Lake with its mysteriously disappearing water is another attraction along the side trip up to Maligne Lake. At the lake you can sit on the deck of the lodge and soak in the view of the crystal blue water with the backdrop of snow-covered peaks. Your guide is enthusiastic to lead the group on one of the many hiking trails in this picture postcard mountain scenery. Tonight the guide is happy to make dinner reservations in one of the local restaurants, but it might be more fun to create a delicious meal on the campground together.

Day 3: The Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefields
visit Athabasca Falls, Jasper National ParkPlanned for today is  a drive along the world famous Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefields. Massive Snow Dome and Athabasca Glacier may steal the show, but numerous other glaciers and craggy mountains fill the views between photo stops. Mighty Athabasca Falls is a must see attraction of Jasper National Park. You can make your way down into an abandoned canyon carved out of the rocks by the raging waters over millions of years. Today’s highlight are the immense Columbia Icefields. Here the guide leads you on a 2.5 km hike up to a ridge with magnificent wide-angle views of Saskatchewan Glacier, Mounts Athabasca and Andromeda. Some in the group might book the optional Snow Coach onto the surface of Athabasca Glacier and visit the nerve tingling glass bottom Sky Walk over a canyon. Others will join the guide on one of the most rewarding trails, which takes you above the tree line into a pass at 2375 m with stunning views over the valley to Athabasca Glacier.

Day 4: Miette Hot Springs and return to Edmonton
The peak experience of Sulphur Skyline is a perfect last impression of your Jasper camping trip. Starting almost at tree line with a short but steep climb you reach a ridge with the most excellent views of the surrounding mountain peaks. The reward after this 3-hour hike is the relaxing warm outdoor pool of the Miette Hot Springs (included). Now you leave the Rockies behind and drive 3.5 hours back to Edmonton. The camping trip ends with arrival at the parking lot of the hotel in west Edmonton.
