Greetings to you! I’m Tim, 26 years young and I grew up in southern Germany! My proximity to the Black Forest and the constant urge for adventure led me to all kinds of extreme sports activities. Be it on a motorcycle through West Africa or hitchhiking through South America, I have already gained a lot of experience in all kinds of situations. With over 12 years of climbing experience and the desire to always find a way to the top of the mountain, you can be sure that you will have an unforgettable time with me. It’s not for nothing that I have the mountain in my name! Mit über 12 Jahre Kletterkenntnis und dem Verlangen immer einen Weg auf die Spitze des Berges zu finden, könnt ihr euch sicher sein, dass ihr mit mir eine unvergessliche Zeit haben werdet. Nicht umsonst trage ich den Berg im Namen! Ich freue mich die wunderschöne Natur Kanadas zu erleben und bin gespannt was uns so erwarten wird!

Hello from your local Alberta girl! I’m super excited to hit the ground running on another season of road-tripping with Timberwolf Tours. I can’t wait to have you on my team and show you around my great big backyard of Western Canada. 2026 marks the beginning of my fourth year as a trail guide in the Rockies, and I don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon! I’m an anthropologist who has worked in museums and tourism for six years, so you know I’ve got all the good stories about Canadian history, wildlife, and ecology. I’ll be with you every step of the way, making sure you stay safe, have everything you need, and most importantly, have fun! Don’t be surprised if you see me around the campground in my Canadian tuxedo, running on nothing but rocky mountain air and maple syrup. Hello new friends, recent University of Alberta alum here! I’ve been studying in this beautiful province of Alberta for the past 4 years now, but am originally from Campbell River, Vancouver Island (the highly disputed salmon capital of the world). As you can imagine, I spent lots of my time there fishing, but also developed a passion for hiking, biking, climbing, skiing and more! I spent my undergrad as a trip coordinator for my school's Outdoors Club, led TONS of different outdoor activities and even got to represent my Campbell River fishing skills out on the ice. Oh, and I studied Biology sometimes too, so I can tell you all about the leafy locals we meet on the trail! Currently the plan is to return for my Master’s and eventually move into environmental consulting, but for now I’m having way too much fun making my office the great outdoors! On that note, in case I’m looking a little dustier than my photo, here are a few ways to identify me on our adventures: Usually carrying a few extra snacks and essentials to keep the day running smoothly. Hello dear travel enthusiasts, my name is Juliane. I grew up in Cologne, and from a young age, traveling has been my greatest passion. The inspiring feeling of discovering new places and getting to know the world, along with a love for nature and culture, has never left me. I moved to Berlin for my studies and later spent some time in Belgium. In my free time, I always followed my passion for travel. Whether hiking, cycling tours, or group trips – from walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain to internships in the Bahamas and adventure holidays in Southeast Asia – my fascination only continued to grow. Two years ago, I fell in love with Canada in more ways than one. Since then, I have been captivated by the Rocky Mountains with their enchanting forests, as well as the wonderful west coast with its breathtaking flora and fauna. I made a small town near Edmonton my home and have been living here ever since. Hi, I’m Laura. I’m 21 years old and was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. While I’ve spent most of my life in the city, that never stopped me from experiencing the beauty our planet has to offer. My love for the outdoors eventually led me to enroll in the Outdoor Adventure program at Algonquin College, where I’ve been building the skills and experience needed to pursue a career in guiding. What draws me to the outdoors is the endless variety of ways to experience it—whether that’s paddling down a river, hiking through the backcountry, climbing above the treeline, or exploring somewhere new. I love the excitement that comes with trying new things and constantly learning along the way. I’m also drawn to the adrenaline that comes with pushing my limits and taking on new challenges—it’s a feeling that makes me feel truly alive. I’ve learned to appreciate the outdoors in all its forms. Rain or shine, calm or wild, it’s all part of being out there. I’m not made of sugar, so a little rain never hurt anyone, and the best days outside often end with muddy boots and a good story. As a guide, my goal is to make sure people get the most out of their time outside. I believe the best experiences often happen just outside our comfort zones, and I love helping people discover what they’re capable of along the way. Whether it’s trying something new, pushing a little further, or simply slowing down to take in the moment, I want every tour to be something people truly remember. I’m also passionate about photography and videography, and I enjoy capturing moments people can look back on long after the trip ends. While I have been born in Hannover, my deep connection with nature was nurtured on my grandmother’s old farm, located near the city. From an early age, I found joy in being outdoors. For my Bachelor’s studies, I moved to the enchanting city of Freiburg im Breisgau, located in the southern part of Germany. Surrounded by multiple mountains and rivers, my passion for hiking in nature’s embrace grew even more. Before continuing on my master’s degree in this city, a desire to experience the wonders of Canada grew in me. The reason was a gift from my father. A captivating book about Canada, its natural beauty, teeming wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. As soon as I laid eyes on its pages, I knew that I had to see this country firsthand. Prior to accepting the role of a tour guide, I had the opportunity to venture through British Columbia and Alberta, on my own. I explored the Rocky Mountains and can now confidently confirm that these landscapes are even more beautiful than captured in any photograph. Now, as your trusted guide, I am ecstatic to share my experiences and knowledge with you. Bevor ich die Rolle eines Reiseleiters annahm, hatte ich die Möglichkeit, auf eigene Faust durch British Columbia und Alberta zu reisen. Ich habe die Rocky Mountains selber erkundet und kann nun mit Gewissheit bestätigen, dass diese Landschaften noch schöner sind als auf jedem Foto festgehalten. Hi there! Being a third generation Timberwolf, it’s safe to say that guiding in western Canada has been engraved in my dna. From the age of five, I have been joining groups on multi day canoeing and camping trips, through countless cozy nights around campfires and calm morning strokes through the water I have found my passion, guiding in my backyard. Leading trips here brings me warmth in my heart, as an Indigenous person these lands we are traveling on today is the place that my ancestors called home for tens of thousands of years. I love sharing with YOU the stories and culture of Canada’s rich first nations history in the development of Canada and our influence on the world today. I have lived my entire life here in Alberta, safe to say I am a “Alberta Boy” but I am lucky enough to have traveled to all the nooks and crannies across Western Canada as well as many parts of the world; including Asia, Europe and Central America and hopefully the list doesn’t just end there. Spending a trip with me, comes with lots of laughs, adventures and my dedication to making our tour together a trip of a lifetime, looking forward to our adventure! Nachdem ich den Erste Hilfe und einen Kanu Kurs bestanden hatte, arbeitete ich als Helfer für Guides bei Touren in den Rocky Mountains und auf der Athabasca River. Jetzt endlich also mit Erfahrung und der Spannung meine eigenen Gruppen zu leiten, freue ich mich auf den Sommer mit Team Timberwolf. Bei meinen Reisen alleine durch Europa und Asien sowie durch Alberta und British Columbia lernte ich was Reisende gerne erleben möchten und wie man eine super Tour präsentiert. I was born in Bonn, Germany, but when I was eleven, my family packed up and moved to the Island. I went to school there and spent summers around Timberwolf Tours—at first cleaning vans and gear, then tagging along on trips, soaking up the stories and wild places until I knew I had to become a guide myself. Since then, I’ve chased adventure across a bunch of landscapes—guiding bike tours on cruise ships, teaching snowboarding and paragliding in the Austrian Alps, and more recently, working as a wakeboard instructor at a cable park in Germany. Now I’m back in Canada, ready to hike, paddle, and explore with you. Let’s make this summer unforgettable! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey! I enjoy being active, especially hiking, dancing and camping outdoors! What I love about hiking and camping specifically is that it lets you see, feel, smell and hear the earth from a whole different point of view – unmasked and pure – with all its different plants, wildlife and electromagnetic variations. Hallo, ich heiße Sarah (30) und bin in Kärnten, Österreich aufgewachsen. Ich reise sehr gerne und bin am liebsten zu Fuß in der Natur unterwegs. Berge, Täler, Flüsse und Seen umgeben mich schon mein ganzes Leben. Eine Landschaft, in der ich mich auch in Kanada wiedergefunden habe. Doch seit meiner Ankunft hier hat sich meine Definition von Wildnis und Natur noch einmal grundlegend verändert. Die Eindrücke, die mich hier erwarteten, waren oft überwältigend. Diese Faszination für die Schönheit der kanadischen Natur möchte ich mit euch teilen und dabei auch ein Stück in die Geschichte der Region eintauchen. Apropos Geschichte: Seit meiner Kindheit begeistern mich Abenteuergeschichten, seien sie fiktiv oder real, und hier in Kanada kann ich selbst zur Abenteurerin werden. Hello, my name is Rebecca and I am a Canadian from Toronto, Ontario. I’m back in Canada after spending a year working in France and eating my way through every different type of cheese. I love travelling and have had the opportunity to discover French-Canadian culture in Quebec City, learn to ski on the breath-taking slopes of Whistler, see salmon spawning on Vancouver Island, navigate the market places in Mozambique and backpack South America. I went on my first canoe trip when I was seventeen and fell in love. I've been exploring all around the Swiss Alps from a very early age with my grandfather, who is a mountain guide, and who has passed his love for the mountains over to me. I've been lucky enough to hike in the Pyrenees, Himalayan, Andean and Spitsbergen mountains too and it's been truly wonderful to see how mountain atmospheres are shaped under different cultures. The last couple of years I spent studying and working as a snowboard instructor. I went to university for earth sciences and am always super happy to geek out about this, especially the weather, so hit me with any questions you may have! Mein Grossvater, der Bergführer ist und seine Liebe den Bergen mir übergeben hat, hat mit mir schon von früh auf die Schweizer Alpen erkundet. Ich habe auch das Glück gehabt, in den Pyrenäen, im Himalaya, in den Anden und in den Spitsbergen zu wandern. Es ist wirklich schön gewesen zu sehen, wie unterschiedliche Kulturen verschiedene Berg Atmosphären prägen. In den letzten paar Jahren war ich am Studieren und als Snowboardlehrerin am arbeiten. Ich bin an die Uni für Erdwissenschaften gegangen und bin immer super glücklich, über das zu quatschen, vor allem über das Wetter, also fragt mich alles was euch Wunder nimmt! Hi there! I’m Wolfram, born and raised in Bochum, Germany. Back then, I always enjoyed going to Switzerland and Austria for hiking and skiing. After moving to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 2007, I spend as much time as possible skiing and hiking. I’m the father of two beautiful girls which I take to countless camping and hiking trips all over Alberta, BC and the Western United States. Over the years I was able to share the beauty of our nature with lots of visitors leading trips. I’m very exited to show you the pure beauty and breathtaking nature of Western Canada. Damals bin ich immer gerne richtung Schweiz und Österreich gefahren zum Wandern und Skifahren. Nachdem ich 2007 nach Edmonton, Alberta, Kanada gezogen bin, verbringe ich so viel Zeit wie möglich mit Skifahren und Wandern. Ich bin Vater von zwei wunderschönen Mädchen und als Familie haben wir unzähligen Camping- und Wanderausflügen durch Alberta, BC und der Westen der US gemacht. Im Laufe der Jahre habe ich diese atemberaubende Landschaft auch mit viele Besucher geteilt. Ich freue mich sehr darauf, mit euch diese Naturschoenheiten zu erkunden. Wir sehen uns am Lagerfeuer!!!

Hey there, folks! Born and raised just outside the beautiful city of Hamburg, Germany, I’ve always felt most alive when I’m outdoors – whether it’s camping with family or friends, hiking through the fjords of Norway, the Alps, or the rugged forests and mountains of Canada, whitewater kayaking in the Harz and Austria, or out paddling on wild canoe adventures with my friends. I live by the motto: “Travel as much as you can, as long as you can. Life’s not meant to be lived in one place.” After graduating high school, I spent a year living, working and traveling in Canada – and well, what can I say? My heart never really left. Ever since, I keep finding my way back to the Rockies, Vancouver Island, and the Athabasca River – on foot or in a canoe. The untouched wilderness, the vast open landscapes, the wildlife, the lakes and mountains – it still takes my breath away every time. I and Timber (our cheerful mascot you can spot in the photo) can’t wait to share the beauty of Western Canada with You. Whether we’re sleeping under the stars in a tent or staying comfy in a hotel – adventure is guaranteed, eh! When I’m not out exploring or building a campfire, I’m studying Sports and Political Science in Göttingen, Germany. But to be honest – my favourite classroom has trees instead of chalkboards. Seit ich denken kann, liebe ich es, draußen unterwegs zu sein und die Welt zu bereisen – sei es beim Campen mit der Familie oder mit Freunden, beim Wandern entlang der Fjorde Norwegens, durch die Alpen oder durch die Wälder und Berge Kanadas, beim Wildwasserkajakfahren im Harz und in Österreich oder bei abenteuerlichen Kanutouren mit Freunden. Ich lebe nach dem Motto: „Travel as much as you can, as long as you can. Life’s not meant to be lived in one place.“ Nach dem Abitur ging’s für ein Jahr nach Kanada – und na ja, was soll ich sagen? Ich bin geblieben. Zumindest im Herzen. Seitdem zieht es mich immer wieder zurück in die Rockies, auf Vancouver Island oder auf den Athabasca River – egal ob zu Fuß oder mit dem Kanu. Die unberührte Natur, die Weite, die Tierwelt, die Berge und Seen – all das begeistert mich jedes Mal aufs Neue. Ich kann es kaum erwarten mit Timber (Maskottchen auf dem Foto), Ihnen die vielfältige Landschaft Westkanadas zu zeigen. Ob unter dem Sternenhimmel im Zelt oder ganz gemütlich im Hotel – das Abenteuer ist garantiert! Wenn ich nicht gerade draußen unterwegs bin oder ein Lagerfeuer entzünde, studiere ich Sport- und Politikwissenschaften in Göttingen – aber in den Semesterferien zieht es mich seither immer wieder zurück nach Kanada. Denn seien wir ehrlich: Mein Lieblingsseminarraum hat eher Tannen statt Tafeln. Also: Wanderschuhe geschnürt, Paddel bereit – das Abenteuer wartet schon! Bis bald in Kanada!

Dear Traveller, I have the honour of welcoming you to western Canada — a part of our world that calmly thrives between the ancient game of survival and modern human life. Growing up in eastern Germany, close to Saxon Switzerland, made me wonder what a place would look like without modern human intervention — and western Canada had the answer for me. Its rural mountain valleys, endless forests, dark night skies, and cozy campfires hold endless secrets to discover and hundreds of stories to tell! I started my journey as a guide by leading my friends safely through hikes in the alps. I loved it so much that I soon accepted a job opportunity in the Yukon, Canada, where I led wildlife tours and enjoyed watching the northern lights with my guests throughout the winter. Right now, I am exploring the skies while becoming a helicopter pilot, and I am very much looking forward to sharing the Canadian wilderness together this summer! Zuhause, auf meinen Wanderungen durch die Sächsische Schweiz habe ich mich oft gefragt; „was ist Wildnis“? Die Rocky Mountains konnten mir diese Frage beantworten – Berge, Täler, endlose Wälder und tiefschwarze, sternenklare Nächte begleitet von einem gemütlich knisternden Lagerfeuer, welches nur dazu einlädt, Geschichten zu erzählen… Der „Reiseführer“ war schon immer ein Teil von mir. Angefangen habe ich mit Freunden und Touren in der Sächsischen Schweiz und den Alpen, bis ich dann die Chance hatte, im Yukon im Norden Kanadas, Nordlichternächte und Wildparktouren zu führen. Zurzeit erkunde ich die Landschaft von oben, auf meinem Weg zum Hubschrauberpiloten, und ich freue mich schon unglaublich darauf mein Wissen über/und die Wildnis mit euch zu teilen! Hi!! I'm Jenny! I’m so excited to be back in Canada with Timberwolf Tours for another season! I was born in Germany but grew up here in Canada in the prairies, directly in the centre in a place called Steinbach, Manitoba. I first fell in love with nature and the west coast of Canada when I spent my first summer working in lake Louise, since then I’ve been hooked. I’ve spent about 5 years living in the Rockies Mountains, many years traveling and hiking through different mountain ranges and most recently spent 1.5 year in Northern Norway, exploring and living in the Arctic!! If it’s an activity outside in the mountains I’ve probably tried it and love it. From hiking, camping, climbing, snowboarding, split boarding, ext. I can’t get enough. Being in nature is one of my greatest passions. I have been lucky enough to explore many countries but I’m very excited to share with you the part of the world that I call home and hold so close to my heart! I can’t wait to help you experience the beauty, adventure, and unforgettable moments this incredible place has to offer! --------- Hi!! Ich bin Jenny! Ich freue mich riesig, bald wieder mit Timberwolf Tours in Kanada zu sein und eine weitere Saison zu erleben! Ich bin zwar in Deutschland geboren, aber hier in Kanada, in der Prärie – mitten im Herzen von Steinbach in Manitoba – aufgewachsen. Zum ersten Mal habe ich mich in die Natur und die Westküste Kanadas verliebt, als ich meinen ersten Sommer in Lake Louise gearbeitet habe. Seitdem lässt mich meine Liebe zu dieser wunderschönen Region nicht mehr los. Insgesamt habe ich etwa fünf Jahre in den Rocky Mountains gelebt, unzählige Wanderungen durch verschiedenste Bergregionen unternommen und zuletzt anderthalb Jahre in Nordnorwegen verbracht, wo ich die Arktis intensiv erkunden und erleben durfte. Für jede Art von Outdoorsport bin ich sofort zu begeistern – und die meisten habe ich irgendwann selbst ausprobiert! Wandern, Campen, Klettern, Snowboarden, Splitboarden und vieles mehr – ich kann einfach nicht genug davon bekommen. Die Natur ist eine meiner größten Leidenschaften. Ich hatte das große Glück, viele Länder zu bereisen. Umso mehr freue ich mich darauf, euch den Teil der Welt zu zeigen, den ich mein Zuhause nenne und der mir besonders am Herzen liegt. Ich freue mich darauf, meine Liebe für diesen Ort mit euch zu teilen.

Canada’s mountains hold a special kind of magic, one that lets you breathe deeply and reminds you of what truly matters. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been drawn to the outdoors. Nature is my home. Whether it’s climbing, hiking, nighttime cave explorations, or skiing and snowboarding—it’s all about adventure. Standing still has never been my thing. Last year, I took the leap into my biggest adventure yet: the freedom of Canada’s vast wilderness. A fresh start that has deeply enriched my life. Along the way, I discovered a new passion—teaching ski students. Not just passing on technique, but sharing a love for the mountains—that’s where I find my greatest joy. The beginning of a lifelong passion. I’m always searching for new paths, new summits, and new side quests. Because honestly—how boring would life be without adventure? Die Berge Kanadas haben diese besondere Magie, die dich durchatmen lässt und dich daran erinnert, was wirklich zählt. Schon seit meiner Kindheit zieht es mich nach draußen. Natur ist mein Zuhause. Ob beim Klettern, Wandern, nächtlichen Höhlenexpeditionen oder auf Ski und Snowboard – Hauptsache Abenteuer. Stillstand war noch nie mein Ding. Letztes Jahr habe ich mich dann in mein bislang größtes Abenteuer gestürzt: die Freiheit der kanadischen Weiten. Ein Neuanfang, der mein Leben bereichert hat. Besonders entdeckt habe ich dabei meine Leidenschaft fürs Unterrichten von Skischülern. Menschen nicht nur Technik beizubringen, sondern ihnen die Liebe zu den Bergen weiterzugeben – genau darin liegt meine größte Freude. Der Anfang einer lebenslangen Passion. Ich bin immer auf der Suche nach neuen Wegen, neuen Gipfeln und neuen Sidequests. Denn mal ehrlich: Wie langweilig wäre ein Leben ohne Abenteuer? Ich freue mich darauf, mit euch den Westen Kanadas zu erkunden, gemeinsam neue Erinnerungen zu schaffen und euch die unvergleichliche Schönheit dieses Landes zu zeigen. Hey there! I'm Brent, a guy who loves sharing time in nature and showing people places they might not discover on their own. Originally from Belgium (yes, I traded flat land and chocolates for mountains and wilderness), but always looking for vast landscapes and the kind of moments you can’t really plan. I spent several winter seasons high up in Finnish Lapland leading Arctic safaris, where I learned to work in remote and challenging conditions, but mostly how to tolerate frozen toes. A lot of what I bring also comes from personal journeys. I’ve hiked from the Mexican border to the Canadian border twice, spent extended periods living outside in winter conditions, and have been traveling and exploring for years. I would say my style is easygoing but rooted in adventure. I like to share not only the place, but also the feeling of really being out there. I hope every trip ends with a taste of the unexpected , a few laughs, and a story that will stick long after the fire’s gone out!"

For me, it’s not about big achievements, but about moving through a landscape, taking things in, and connecting with nature. I’ve spent time exploring different parts of Europe, as well as places like New Zealand and Kazakhstan. What I value most is adapting to new environments and experiencing each place in its own way. As a guide, I try to create a calm and open atmosphere where people can feel at ease and connect with their surroundings. Die Rockies haben mich schon lange fasziniert, seitdem ich das erste mal dort war, vor knapp 15 Jahren. Mich reizt vor allem die Vorstellung, sie Schritt für Schritt zu erkunden und diese Erfahrung mit anderen zu teilen.
